Americana, bluegrass, country and folk from the Washington DC metro area — gorgeous vocals, high-flying strings, and a band that got its name surviving an EF5 tornado in a campground bathroom.
The Cast Iron Cure EP is both awesome and inspiring. Tornado Rose is only now beginning to bloom.

Biography
Tornado Rose delivers an uplifting blend of Americana, bluegrass, country and folk with gorgeous vocals and high-flying strings. Lead singer and songwriter Brooke Bell's voice shines with an enchanting power and clarity, beautifully supported by rich bass lines, captivating melodies and smooth solos.
Brooke is a multi-instrumentalist on guitar, autoharp and fiddle, and her exceptional vocal abilities complement her songwriting, which often reflects her experience growing up in Independence, Kansas. She earned first place in the Love Song Category for her song “Wilderwood Flower” at the 2014 Winfield Bluegrass Festival.
The band was born on May 21, 2011, when its members survived a massive EF5 tornado in a campground bathroom at Pomona Lake, Kansas. As they came through that night and witnessed the dawn's early light, they emerged with a profound respect for life and a newfound sound. And it was Brooke Bell who blossomed as the rose that emerged from the chaos.
Steeped in the rich traditions of the Kansas plains, the band has set their sights eastward to the Washington, DC metro area, weaving the soulful sounds of Appalachia into their ever-evolving tapestry.
